Las Vegas

Last month I went to Las Vegas and Grand Canyon with some friends. We had a great time! The SkyWalk at the Grand Canyon was really incredible. At the Mirage in Vegas we saw the Cirque du Soleil Beatles show called "Love". There was also an entertainer named Danny Gans that put on a fun show of impersonations and music. I have great memories and maybe someday soon I will learn how to post some pics of my trip.

Music

Thanks to Cindy for telling me about John Mayer's CD "Continuum". I especially like the songs "Gravity" and "Dreaming With a Broken Heart". On second thought, those two are really sad songs. "Stop this Train" is good too. I love to sing along in the car. Am I the only one who does this? My son gets very annoyed when I do this.

My kittens

I have 2 kittens named Bonnie and Clyde. They are females. Bonnie is sweet and snuggly while Clyde is an athlete! I hope to get a pic of them soon. They are very cute.

7 1/2 Habits

After reading the "7 1/2 habits of highly successful lifelong learners", I would say that the easiest one for me is "view problems as challenges". I like to learn new things and see if I can figure things out on my own. On the other hand, it isn't in my nature to ask for help. I try to be as independent as possible. I'm a little behind others in my office with this blogging stuff. I feel like I have to catch up... What's my next challenge?

My first blog posting! Well, really my second one. My first one disappeared when I clicked "save as draft" instead of "publish". Well, anyway this is a learning experience for me. This is such a stretch for my brain!

A New Beginning

This is my first blog. I am a lifelong learner now, how exciting! I really appreciate that my place of employment encourages us to learn about new ways to communicate using the internet. The easiest habit of the 7 1/2 habits of highly successful lifelong learners was the third one - to view problems as challenges.
